SJSU DIGITAL MEDIA ARTS (DMA) BFA EXHIBITION
Exhibition Design Manager
BFA Show Artist
As Design Manager for the DMA Spring BFA Exhibition “Byte Me,” I collaborated with a team to create the show’s visual identity, including an animated logo character and cohesive graphic assets. Alongside managing the design direction for posters, signage, and promotional materials, I also showcased my own work in the exhibition. My piece, Aquatic Visions: A Journey to the Aquarium, is a motion animation that highlights the beauty of ocean life to inspire awareness of marine conservation and demonstrate the powerful intersection of art, technology, and education.

As Design Manager for the DMA Spring BFA Exhibition “Byte Me,” I collaborated closely with a creative team to develop the visual identity of the show. I led the design process for an animated logo character (play on the word "byte") and cohesive graphic assets that reflected the exhibition’s exploration of digital autonomy and interaction. Using Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator, we created posters, signage, and promotional materials that unified the exhibition’s branding and enhanced its immersive atmosphere. My role required balancing creative direction with technical execution, ensuring that every design element aligned with the show’s conceptual framework while engaging viewers both digitally and physically.

DMA BFA EXHIBITION WORK

Aquatic Visions: A Journey to the Aquarium

In addition to my design management responsibilities, I exhibited my own work titled Aquatic Visions: A Journey to the Aquarium. This motion animation piece celebrated the vibrant life of ocean ecosystems through a dynamic interplay of digital illustration and animation. Using Adobe Illustrator to craft detailed vector illustrations of sea wildlife and Adobe After Effects to animate these elements, I created a colorful and captivating underwater experience. Inspired by my frequent visits to aquariums across Northern California, the piece aimed to inspire marine conservation awareness and demonstrate how digital art can foster a deeper connection between audiences and environmental education.
